What Are Integral Blinds?

The blind lives inside your double glazing.

Integral blinds, often called internal blinds or blinds between the glass, are built into the sealed glass unit of a window or door. The blind sits in the cavity between the two panes, where it's protected from dust, damp, sticky fingers and pets for the life of the glass.

You control it from the room side with a slim magnetic slider, a short cord loop or a quiet motor. Raise it, lower it or, with venetian slats, tilt it to angle the light exactly where you want it.

Because nothing hangs from the frame, they're the natural choice for bifold, sliding and French doors, and they keep the clean lines of modern aluminium glazing intact.

Never need cleaning

Sealed inside the glass, the blind can't collect dust, grease or cobwebs. Wipe the glass and you're done.

No hanging cords

Operated by a magnetic slider or a motor, so there are no loose cords for children or pets to reach.

Made for bifold doors

Nothing fixed to the frame, so the doors fold and slide exactly as they should with the blinds up or down.

Privacy and light, together

Tilt venetian slats to let daylight in while keeping neighbours' eyes out, or lower a pleat for soft, even light.

Helps with heat and glare

Lowered blinds reflect much of the summer sun back out and cut glare on screens and TVs.

Kitchens and bathrooms

Steam, splashes and condensation never touch the blind, so it stays looking new where fabric blinds would not.

The Range

Venetian, pleated and blackout.

Pleated blinds

A soft pleated fabric that filters daylight beautifully. Twelve shades, and well suited to roof glazing and awkward shapes.

Blackout blinds

A pleated blind with a light-blocking layer, for bedrooms, nurseries and home cinemas. Eight colours.

Also available: a motorised wave-film blind with a crisp, contemporary look, in a white dim-out or blackout version. Ask us about it at your survey.

Where They Fit

Control Options

Manual, cordless, solar or motorised.

Choose how you'd like to operate your blinds. We'll recommend the right control for each window and door at your survey.

Cordless magnetic slider

A slim slider on the edge of the glass. Slide it to raise and lower the blind, and turn the slats, with no cords at all.

Corded control

A neat cord loop on a small magnetic unit fixed to the glass. Simple, reliable and the most affordable option.

Solar-charged motor

A battery motor topped up by a small solar panel, operated by remote or wall switch. No wiring needed.

Mains motorised

A quiet motor on a wall switch or remote, able to run up to twelve blinds together and link to home automation.

Slim fit

Narrow slats for slimmer glass units, so composite door glass and sliding sash windows can have blinds too.

Roof and skylight slider

A magnetic slider that moves a pleated blind in any direction, made for roof glazing, dormers and skylights.
