The project
This home sits next door to our Chartwell Green composite door in Melksham, and shows how differently two neighbouring houses can be finished. The entrance is framed by stone pilasters and a heavy lintel, and a rich Aubergine door with a generous glazed panel gives it the presence it deserves.
A deep, wine-toned colour like Aubergine brings real warmth to pale render and honey-coloured stone. The new composite door and white frame were fitted within the existing opening, leaving the original stonework to frame the entrance.
